COVID 19 causes direct neurological manifestations such as anosmia and gustatory impairment, encephalopathy, and seizures. It also has some indirect effects on psychiatric health, including anxiety, amnesia, etc., due to psychosocial stress.
The study included case report and cohort studies which showed neurological symptoms following COVID 19 infections. The study authors have concluded that the most commonly reported neurological symptoms should not be ignored and must be tested for COVID 19. Diagnostic tests, including medical imaging and neuropathology, should be conducted on these COVID 19 patients.
